Monday, May 16th, we made it to the Grand Canyon! We loved the drive again and this time we got through the gates! There was a little rain, but the views were absolutely perfect! We hiked a little and took a ton of pictures.
We headed home from the Grand Canyon. The rain and hail caught up with us now and then, but we mainly stayed ahead of the storms.
We stopped in Parowan for a few pictures a lot of flashbacks for me. We saw my childhood home, a cute little tan house on a piece of property I remember being much larger with a "huge" barn in the back. My piano teacher lived across the street in the rambler that is now blue. I went to elementary school in Parowan. The old ice cream shop is now empty, but a lot of the old houses and buildings that I remember are still there. It was a fun stop and a great ride down memory lane.
We had such a fun time and loved being together. Life is so good!

Spring Vacation Day Three
Sunday, May 15th, we slept in then found a ward to attend. We walked to the ward building and enjoyed the quiet streets and warm weather. We were close enough to the temple to enjoy the walk there and the beautiful and sacred views it offered. We love the peace of the temple inside and out!
On the walk back to the hotel we passed the tabernacle and went in to take a look. We had a great tour of the inside and saw the beautiful details the hands of our ancestors provided. We also stood at the pulpit where every prophet but one has stood to share revelation.
We had a quiet and restful Sunday and we are feeling grateful for the MANY blessings we enjoy as a couple. We are thankful for the gospel and for family. Both are everything to us!!

Spring Vacation Day Two
Saturday, May 14th, we left early for the Grand Canyon. The drive was amazing but when we arrived it was closed. We made the most of it and hiked a little. We saw deer, coyotes, burned forest with new growth, great forests with old growth, and a ton of breath-taking views.
We left a little defeated but decided to hit Zion's National Park on the way back to the hotel. We instantly feel in love with it! We drove through the beautiful rock and tunnels then took turns driving and photographing twice more!
We were amazed by the beautiful hand of our Heavenly Father in every detail from grand rocks to the tiniest flowers. There were incredible animals and friendly strangers who quickly became friends.
